Tees Bay Pilots Benefit from ENC Writer Extension software

Following on from the successful creation of a high resolution Port Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) for the Tees Bay pilots to safely bring in the Brent Delta Oil Rig topside for decommissioning to the Able Yard, Hartlepool in May 2017, this capability has now been successfully delivered to PD Teesport Harbourmaster’s office. The OceanWise ENC Writer software is now being used to create and maintain Teesport’s own portfolio of Port ENC’s utilising data collected as a result of near real-time dredging and survey operations in the port area. This capability means that the port can offer its customers extended windows of operation based on the very latest situational information. We are providing ongoing training and mentoring as part of our support and maintenance arrangement with the port.
